Masters’ Union is hosting Build Your First AI App: A Hands-On Project for Your Resume, a practical workshop designed to help participants move beyond theory and build a fully functional AI application live using Python.
This session will focus on learning by building. Participants will code along throughout the workshop, understand the core building blocks behind AI applications, and walk away with a working project they can showcase on their resume and portfolio, along with a Certificate of Participation upon completing the session.
In this workshop we’ll cover:
How modern AI applications are structured and built
Setting up and building an AI app from scratch using Python
Working with APIs, prompts, and AI workflows
How to think about product logic and user interaction in AI apps
Live coding and implementation throughout the session

Tarun Malhotra is a Lead Software Engineer at Microsoft, with prior experience at Google and Directi. He brings deep expertise in large-scale engineering systems and a practical perspective on how modern AI applications are designed, built, and deployed.
