Howdy, I'm Erik! I’m a veteran social studies teacher, school leader, university professor, and coach. I offer private coaching for teachers, school administrators, and anyone else seeking support. I also provide consulting for schools and workplaces.
My goal is simple: help people and institutions thrive, as practically as possible. You can learn more about what I do here: www.practicalcoach.ing
I'm hosting this free, support-group style session specifically for new teachers who've found themselves wondering if teaching is right for them after their first year in the classroom. As a group, we'll talk about your first-year teacher experiences and work together to process your feelings about returning for year two (which, for me, was a challenging time of transition).
In having these conversations as a group, my hope is for you to feel less alone and ultimately find a way to persist and thrive in the profession (but there's also no judgment if these conversations help you find the clarity to move on).
Join us! It's sure to be a meaningful conversation.
One other thing: If you're beyond your first year in the classroom, but this meeting resonates with you... Feel free to join us!
