How to use the Anthropic Principle for reasoning in physics
Join us next Friday, March 22nd, as Niels shares insights on physical reasoning through the lens of the anthropic principle. The presentation will delve into Carter's anthropic principle, which posits that "what we can expect to observe is constrained by the conditions necessary for our existence as observers." The talk aims to highlight the principle's current limitations in physics reasoning and propose amendments for its improvement, drawing from joint work with Feraz Azhar.
As per usual, doors will open at 19:00, with the talk beginning around 20:00.
Location: Rue Haldimand 14, 1003 Lausanne. Please ring Futurarium/Quine. The space is located on the right, on the second floor.
