2025 FJC Chanukah Celebration
Overview
This year Chanukah is celebrated 14-22 December, sundown to sundown. We will light candles on the menorah, say a Chanukah prayer, and enjoy some holiday foods, drinks, and games. The event is open to people of all backgrounds and, aside from the candle lighting and prayer, will be largely secular.
What to bring
This is a potluck. If you're not already familiar with Jewish cultural foods or those specific to Chanukah, you can learn more HERE. Please indicate if any food or beverages you bring are not kosher so people can choose what to eat and drink based on their dietary rules,
About Chanukah
Chanukah (or Hanukkah) is the eight-day Jewish "Festival of Lights" commemorating the Maccabean Revolt and the rededication of the Second Temple in Jerusalem, highlighting the miracle of a single day's oil miraculously burning for eight days
