About Event

​Join Last Ditch on Sunday, September 13, 2026, from 9:00 AM to 12:00 PM in Santa Fe, New Mexico for a garage winemaking workshop.

​Want to make wine at home? This three-hour, hands-on class takes you through the entire process, crush to bottle.

​Working with grapes harvested the day before, you'll learn how to crush and then press grapes. We'll cover measuring sugar and pH, how to move a wine through primary and second fermentation, and the minimum equipment you actually need to do this at home. We'll then cover bottling tequniques with wine from an earlier batch.

​You'll leave with a how-to handout, a supply list, and the knowledge to get started.

​Lastly, you'll be invited to join the final harvest of the season in late September / early October, a few weeks after the workshop so you have time to gather supplies before you take grapes home and make your own 2026 vintage.
