About Event

Nutrition needs shift throughout pregnancy, postpartum, and the first year with baby, but finding the time and energy to nourish yourself and your family can be a challenge. While there’s no perfect way to eat during this season, understanding what your body needs and having a few flexible strategies can make nutrition feel much more manageable.

Join Expecting Together and Kara Hughes, registered dietitian, health educator, and founder of Kara Spain Nutrition, for a practical, evidence-based conversation about postpartum and family nutrition.

Together, we’ll explore:

  • Key nutrition needs during postpartum recovery and lactation

  • How to build satisfying meals and snacks

  • Realistic approaches to meal planning

  • Strategies for feeding yourself and your family when time, energy, and routines are constantly changing

You’ll leave with practical tools and ideas you can adapt to your own needs, whether you’re preparing for postpartum or already navigating the first year with your little one.
