Death Café: A Conversation with an End of Life Doula

Death touches every life. Most of us never talk about it until we have to.

This month, we step outside our usual Death Café format for a special series session with an in-person expert guest: Sarah Hill, an end-of-life doula.

Sarah describes herself as a bridge, not a therapist, not a nurse, not clergy. She helps people find a grounded place from which to meet their dying and death, through listening and staying present. She believes we all carry what we need within us. Her work is to help us tend to what matters most.

She will cover:

  • What end-of-life doula work looks like

  • Preparing versus reacting when death arrives

  • The head, hands, and heart of doula care

  • Palliative care versus hospice care

  • Medical aid in dying

  • How to find and choose a doula

A Q&A follows her talk. Bring your questions.

We close with special giveaways.

Seats are limited. Register now to hold your spot.
