MOSAIC Salon_8: Culture, Psychedelics, Consciousness
In 17th century Paris and across the Arab world, salons and coffeehouses created space for the conversations that weren't allowed elsewhere. Artists, mystics, poets, and philosophers gathered around tables to exchange ideas, challenge power, and make culture together. They existed because people needed a place to think out loud and be changed in the process.
That's the energy we're channeling. MOSAIC Salons have sold out every time we've run them.
This time we're at Makilala, a Filipino family restaurant on Church Street from Chef Nuit Regular and brothers Jeff and Joel Regular, the team behind Pai, Kiin, and Sukhothai. The name means "to get to know" in Tagalog, which felt almost too perfect for what Salons are. The food comes from 20 years of Jeff and Joel's family recipes passed down to Nuit, the room feels like you walked off a plane onto a Manila side street, and the energy is loud and warm in exactly the way a good dinner table should be. We're thrilled to partner with them for this one.
