Permission Slip: Pluto Members
For the summer I’m introducing a weekly permission slip for rest. Rest has been my sacred medicine for a while now, and through that personal journey I realized how much intention and regulation it takes to actually allow ourselves to rest and do nothing in a world where productivity is prioritized.
So ask yourself,
How often do you allow yourself to pause your work flow to exercise?
How often do you give yourself permission to do nothing? To truly rest. To recieve the codes of nature.
Especially in the middle of the day!
Rest requires safety, and community offers that energetic exchange.
This session is not meditation, but it is a mindfulness practice that nourishes the body and mind. In community it’s an opportunity for co-regulation and heart coherence. We are sharing space while grounding with the earth and soaking up the sun codes.
What to expect:
Meet at Pluto for 1:30pm for check-in
We will head to Louis March Park (485 Shuter St) & set up our blankets
Landing together, we will ground in with an intention
40 mins of group resting, you can nap or simply lay there and observe what’s around (If you’re in a chatty mood, please respect the group intention and move to a different spot to enjoy a good chat with your friend)
Short closing circle where you are invited to share how you feel or anything that came up.
What to bring:
Water or hydration of some kind
Sunglasses or other forms of UV protection (optional)
A blanket (I will have a few tapestries to put out and share)
