Day Hike to River Overlook with Queer Community - New Jersey

​Join TVOP Volunteer Heather for a hike through a mix of forested areas and open fields in Hopewell Township, New Jersey, stopping for lunch at a picnic area overlooking the Delaware River. We will walk just under 2 miles along a former logging road with moderate elevation gain to our lunch location, then return back to the parking area along the same trail. This park is recognized as an Important Bird Area for its diversity of breeding and migrating birds, so we may spot a variety of birds as well as a number of fall wildflowers. We will take our time to enjoy spending time with local queer community in nature. The event is rain or shine. We ask folks under the age of 18 to please register themselves and an adult to accompany them.
