Relationships That Open Doors | FoundHER & FundHER Lunch: Los Angeles
The Right Connection Could Change Everything.
What if the next big opportunity for your business isn't something you need to create, but someone you need to meet?
A new customer. A strategic partner. An advisor who has already solved the problem you're facing. An introduction to an investor. Someone who can open a door you didn't even know existed.
Some of the most important moments in business begin with a conversation.
But there's a difference between meeting a lot of people and building the relationships that actually help your business grow.
It's not about how many people you know. It's about the relationships you build, the value you bring to one another, and what becomes possible because of them.
This May, we're bringing women founders and funders together for meaningful connections, real business conversations, and a special educational segment focused on building the relationships that can help take your business to the next level.
Whether you're bootstrapping, scaling an established company, or preparing to seek investment, the right relationships can make a meaningful difference in your journey.
And you never know who might be sitting across the table.
THIS MONTH'S FOUNDER CONVERSATION
Build Your Strategic Relationship Ecosystem
Every growing business needs more than customers.
It needs people who can offer expertise, make introductions, create opportunities, challenge your thinking, and help you navigate what comes next.
But how do you identify those people? How do you approach them? And how do you build relationships that are genuine, mutually beneficial, and lasting?
During our educational segment, we'll explore:
The five relationships every growing business needs: Identifying the customers, partners, advisors, investors, and connectors who can help move your business forward.
Networking vs. strategic relationship-building: Why collecting contacts isn't the same as creating meaningful business opportunities.
Creating value before asking for it: How to approach potential partners and collaborators with mutual benefit in mind.
Making the right ask: How to request introductions, advice, resources, or support in a way that makes it easy for others to help.
Staying connected: How to nurture relationships over time, even when you don't need anything right now.
This isn't about learning to work a room or becoming better at small talk.
It's about understanding who you need in your business ecosystem, why those relationships matter, and how to build them with intention.
Come prepared to think about the people who could help your business grow and the value you could bring to them in return.
Our goal is for you to leave with a clearer picture of five important relationships to develop and a practical next step toward making those connections.
MORE THAN A LUNCH. REAL RELATIONSHIPS.
At FoundHER & FundHER, meaningful relationships aren't just something we talk about. They're the reason this community exists.
We believe the right conversation can lead to an introduction, a partnership, a customer, an investment opportunity, or a friendship that supports you throughout your entrepreneurial journey.
And sometimes the most valuable connection isn't the person who can help you directly.
It's the woman who knows the person you need to meet.
That's why our lunches are intentionally designed to help women get beyond the usual introductions and really understand what each other is building, what they're looking for, and how they can help.
This isn't another networking event where you exchange business cards, make small talk, and hope something happens.
It's a room where women show up ready to connect, share experiences, open doors, and support one another's success.
WHO IS IN THE ROOM
A thoughtfully curated gathering of women founders, entrepreneurs, and funders who believe in the power of meaningful relationships.
Some are launching businesses. Others are building revenue, expanding into new markets, growing teams, or preparing for investment.
Everyone has something valuable to share and something they may need, whether it's an introduction, a referral, expertise, a strategic partner, or a fresh perspective.
No awkward networking. No sitting silently through endless presentations.
Just genuine conversations, valuable education, and women who understand the entrepreneurial journey and want to see one another succeed.

A NOTE FROM LISA
One of the reasons I created FoundHER & FundHER is that I've seen how much difference the right relationships can make in building a business.
Sometimes it's an introduction that leads to a new customer. Sometimes it's a conversation that helps you see a problem differently. And sometimes it's meeting someone who believes in what you're building and wants to help you succeed.
But I've also learned that meaningful relationships take more than showing up and exchanging contact information.
They take curiosity, generosity, intention, and a genuine interest in understanding one another.
That's what I want us to continue building together.
This May, as part of our 2027 Founder Growth Series, we're exploring how to be more intentional about the relationships we develop and the opportunities we create for one another.
Because building a successful business isn't just about what you know or what you can do. It's also about the people who become part of your journey.
I look forward to welcoming you to the table, hearing what you're building, and helping create the connections that move us all forward.
Warmly,
Lisa McCarthy

More from Lisa McCarthy, Founder of FoundHER & FundHER:
I am thrilled you’re considering joining one of our Los Angeles–based events. This community was created with YOU in mind.
Because we focus on high-quality experiences and meaningful connections, our events are intentionally limited in size. We offer monthly founder lunches across Los Angeles and the San Fernando Valley, intimate Food and Philosophy Dinners for women founders every other month, and educational events for women in business throughout the year.
The community is slated to expand throughout Orange County, Pasadena, and beyond, with more virtual opportunities to come.
I look forward to meeting you and supporting your business efforts!
