Friends on the Lake - Labor Day Boating Extravaganza
Friends! You're invited to gather for a boating excursion up at the beautiful Lake Sonoma, where we'll celebrate the beginning of SF's fabled Indian Summer with a day full of sunshine and watersports. 🚤🏝️
So put on your strongest sunscreen and come ready to dive into the 70° lake water along with challenging yourself to learn some new water sports! ✨
Schedule:
Carpools depart from SF (8am)
Arrive at Lake Sonoma Marina (9.30am)
Check-in and load our boats (9.30-10.30am)
Boats launch from the Lake Sonoma Marina (10.30am)
Boating activities (10.30am to 4.30pm)
Boats return to the Lake Sonoma Marina (4.30pm)
Unload boats and check-out (4.30-5pm)
Carpools depart from Lake Sonoma Marina (5pm)
Arrive back in SF (7pm)
What to bring:
Layers
Beach towel
Sunglasses
Hat
Sunscreen
Swimsuit
Car snacks for your carpool
Pack your breakfast and lunch in zip lock bags
Beverages for yourself
A cooler with ice if you have one
Bag or backpack to store your belongings (ideally water resistant)
Float / tube (optional)
Things to keep in mind:
The registration fee covers the cost of rentals for 1 pontoon boat, 1 ski boat, wakeboard, tube, and gas for the boat. The cost of food and beverages is not included.
If you have a car and would like to volunteer to drive guests, carpooling guests can cover the cost of fuel.
There is no prior water sports or boating experience necessary.
Alcohol consumption is optional but not recommended if you plan to swim or participate in water sports. Drink lightly and responsibly if you choose to partake.
Guests are responsible for their own safety on the water. Make sure you have health insurance.
Pack your own lunch in a zip lock bag so you an eat it while on the pontoon boat.
There is no cell service at the lake. Please download offline maps to make sure you don't get lost.
In the rare event of accidental damage to the boats while in use by the group, the cost of repair will be split by all guests equally.
