Bridge Moris Lab 01: Designing the diaspora talent platform's Flexible Engagement Track
How can Mauritian diaspora members contribute to Mauritius from abroad?
That question sits at the heart of the Flexible Engagement Track, the part of our talent platform built for diaspora members who want to bring their expertise to Mauritius from wherever they are (think advisory roles, short missions, remote contributions over a few months).
Before we launch it, we want to hear from you and get your thoughts on what would make it successful, through a co-design session.
Bridge Lab 01 is a 90 minute working session where a small group of diaspora professionals helps us shape how this track actually works in practice.
Who this is for
You'll feel at home here if you are a Mauritian diaspora professional who:
Has already contributed to a Mauritian organisation or cause from abroad, and knows what works and what falls apart.
Has thought about contributing and never quite started, or started and stopped.
Has seen structured diaspora programs work well in another country, and can tell us what we should consider borrowing.
We're keeping the group deliberately small so every voice counts.
What to expect
After a short welcome and some additional context, you'll move into a focused breakout with four to six others to work through one design question, aimed at helping us shape the Flexible Engagement Track of our talent platform so that it feels appealing and fulfilling to diaspora members. During the breakout, we'll use an online whiteboard to brainstorm with sticky notes, and will then discuss ideas that are resonating as a group. You will leave this session knowing that you've helped shape a new era for the Mauritian diaspora.
A few practical notes
Registration includes a few short questions. They help us compose balanced breakout groups and make sure the conversation has range. Spots are limited and we review every registration, so tell us a little about yourself.
We'll confirm your place by email along with the Zoom link, ground rules and other helpful information.
