​Organizations spend heavily on leadership development, communication training, engagement surveys, and culture programmes. Yet many employees still experience leaders as distant, unavailable, or disconnected from the realities of daily work.

​Why do leaders often believe the organisation is aligned when teams feel unheard? Why does information travel upward in filtered form? Why do authority, scale, and hierarchy often create emotional distance? And at what point does leadership distance become a risk to execution, trust, innovation, and decision quality?

​The session will move beyond the usual call for “better communication.” It will examine leadership distance as a systemic issue shaped by power, organisational design, incentives, and culture.

​The goal is practical: to help leaders become more present, more informed, and more trusted without becoming performative, intrusive, or operationally distracted.
