The Midnight Groove: A OnePeopleTO Speakeasy
Bimonthly | Vinyl, Vibes & High-Fidelity Community
Step through the doors of our historic 1893 loft and back in time. The Midnight Groove is our quarterly speakeasy designed for the true music lover—the one who appreciates the crackle of a needle on wax and the warmth of a community-held space. April 11, June 5, Sept 4 & Dec 4.
This isn't your average night out; it’s an immersive, high-fidelity experience in the heart of the city in support of our non-profit programming providing early-stage intervention and non-clinical Afrocentric cultural care.
50% proceeds of your ticket goes to OnePeople Philanthropy.
The Night’s Rhythm
9:00 PM – 10:30 PM: The Optional Community Wax Exchange
If you have a vinyl record you love or have a favourite vinyl record from your personal collection, bring them and hand them to our host. Or find a selection from our list. Or just listen to the selections chosen! Whether it’s rare soul, vintage jazz, reggae, gospel or classic hip-hop, we’ll spin your tracks on our house system while you settle in.
10:30 PM – 1:00 AM: The DJ Set
At the halfway mark, we dim the lights and transition as our guest DJ takes over the decks, spinning a curated set designed to keep the energy flowing deep into the night.
