About Event

Referrals are the easiest leads you'll ever get. Someone else already did the convincing. The person shows up half-sold, ready to like you before you've said a word.

So why do so many of them never turn into an actual conversation?

Here's the part nobody wants to hear: it's usually not the referrer's fault. It's the website. When someone goes to pass your name along, or when the person they sent lands on your site to check you out, your homepage has about five seconds to make it obvious who you help and what you actually do. If it doesn't, the referral dies right there. Nobody tells you. It just doesn't happen.

That's messaging debt, and referrals are where it costs you the most, because these were supposed to be the easy ones.

In this episode, I run real websites through the two questions every potential referrer is silently asking: Are you easy to refer? And would I even know who to send your way?

You'll learn:

  • Why being referable is your job, not your referrer's (it's not their job to connect the dots, that's on you)

  • The two questions every referrer runs your website through before your name leaves their mouth

  • How to make it obvious, in seconds, exactly who you help and who should send people to you

  • The "I'd refer them, but I'm honestly not sure what they do" problem, and how to fix it

  • What a genuinely referable homepage says versus what most experts put up instead

If your business runs on word of mouth and reputation, your website isn't a brochure. It's the thing that decides whether the warmest leads you'll ever get make it to your inbox or vanish before you knew they existed.
