[UK] First Fridays with Odgers: Building a Board

​First Friday is a new informal, in-person GBx meet-up series hosted with our friends at Odgers, bringing the GBx community together at their fantastic offices.

​You're invited to gather for a breakfast to meet, mingle, and connect with fellow founders, operators, and investors - all while enjoying great conversation and unbeatable views of St Pauls.

​Each quarter, the Odgers team will bring a topic to discuss, share insights and create inspiration for the next stages in your journey.

​It’s an informal chance to hang out, build relationships, and spend time with other members of the community in a relaxed setting.

​This quarter’s discussion will focus on Building a Board, covering everything founders need to feel confident about as they scale: when to build one, who to bring around the table, the role it should play, and the common pitfalls to avoid.

​David Bell, Head of the Scale Up Collective, and Rachel Middleton, a consultant in the Chair & Board Practice, will kick off the morning with a short introduction before opening up the discussion to the room.
