Lord Byng Class of '71 55th Reunion
It’s time to gather again.
The Lord Byng High School Graduation Class of 1971 will be holding its 55th Reunion on Sunday, June 28, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 9:30 pm at Locarno Beach Park.
Please RSVP so the committee has a good sense of numbers for planning, setup, BBQ availability, seating, and any last-minute updates.
What to bring:
Please bring your own food and beverages (note: the Parks Board now allows consumption of alcohol). A few BBQs will be available for cooking, but please let us know in your RSVP comment if you expect to use one so we can plan accordingly. We also encourage everyone to bring a folding chair. Folding tables and portable popup tents would also be very welcome if you have one available.
Entry by donation:
The committee is asking for a minimum $10 donation per person to help offset reunion expenses, including the park rental, indoor backup location, and memorial materials. Any leftover funds will be donated to the school.
Music and memories:
We’ll have music from the late 1960s through 1971, and anyone who feels inspired is welcome to bring a favourite musical instrument for a casual after-dinner jam session.
Weather note:
If the weather turns nasty, we have arranged an indoor backup location and will send an update closer to June 28 if needed. Please keep an eye on your email and the Facebook group for final details.
A small mystery:
The committee has heard rumours that a time capsule may have been buried near the Grad ’71 plaque at the school. If you know anything about this, please let us know.
