Just Finance Gathering: Rest, Resources & Resilience
In March 2027, the Just Finance Gathering will bring fund managers, investors, foundations, and allies together to accelerate the shift of power toward community-rooted capital funds. Grounded in the themes of Rest, Resources, and Resilience, the Gathering will offer space to connect, recharge, and strengthen our collective work through shared knowledge, practical learning, and relationship-building.
Beyond rest and connection, the program is designed to serve funds, funders, and allies alike:
A community of practice forum on shared challenges like portfolio monitoring, credit review, and impact measurement
Fundraising sessions on integrated capital, led by practitioners actively raising it
A visioning and collaboration track to share how to consider the topics of scaling and deepening the work
Integrated capital strategy sessions, exploring how funders and allies can structure grants, debt, and equity to meet community capital needs
Cross-sector learning and relationship-building among funds, funders, and allies working to shift capital toward community ownership
Open space for topics and collaborations not addressed by explicit sessions
What’s Included
Registration includes lodging, all meals, and programming from late afternoon on March 8 through breakfast on March 11.
Paicines Ranch serves locally sourced meals featuring meat raised on the ranch and produce from neighboring farms. Vegan, vegetarian, and gluten-free meals are available, and other dietary restrictions and food allergies can be accommodated.
Registration fees are set to cover the cost of hosting the Gathering and help provide scholarships for T25 Fund leaders and allies who would otherwise be unable to attend.
Airfare and travel to and from Paicines Ranch are not included in the registration fee. Paicines Ranch also offers a handful of optional experiences, such as guided tours and time with the ranch's animals, available at an additional cost. More details will be shared closer to the event.
Location & Accommodations
The Gathering will take place at Paicines Ranch, a 7,600-acre regenerative agriculture ranch home to our co-host, the #NoRegrets Initiative.
The Ranch is located in the rolling oak hills of San Benito county, 1-1/2 hours south of the San Jose airport and approximately 2 hours south of San Francisco and Oakland airports.
On-site accommodations include private bedrooms and shared bedrooms in cottages and historic houses. Most accommodations are within walking distance of the main gathering spaces; a small number require transportation by car.
Note: A private bedroom is occupied by one attendee. A shared bedroom is occupied by two attendees. Both options may be located within a cottage or house with shared bathrooms and common areas. Check out the accommodations: https://bit.ly/ranch-cottages
Paicines is a working ranch with a variety of ranch animals, gravel roads, natural beauty, and tons of charm.
Who should attend?
CAJF members, T25 Funds, and any fund, funder, investor, or ally working to mobilize capital for financial justice.
Scholarships
Scholarships are available to current T25 Fund leaders and key allies who would otherwise be unable to attend because of financial constraints. Scholarship recipients will pay a reduced registration, which will include the same lodging, meals, and programming provided to all attendees.
CAJF is also fundraising to offer a limited number of travel stipends.
Scholarship applications are due November 15, 2026. Applicants will be notified of decisions by December 1, 2026.
