​Attendees are encouraged to submit an entry to the inaugural Edge Medicine Innovation Challenge, opening October 1.

​5 finalists (winning $5K) will be selected to receive consultation from the Center for Edge Medicine and will be invited to pitch for larger prizes in February 2027. Top 3 winners of the pitch will be awarded $15K, $10K, $5K respectively.

​Background:

​Most people can identify challenges with healthcare of today, yet current solutions on the market struggle to simultaneously address clinical need, infrastructure requirements, and successfully scale. We are offering seed capital (through non-dilutive funds) in ideas that simultaneously bring together these needs and offering advice to support it.

​Edge Medicine Overview:

​We call medicine that’s beyond clinic walls “Edge Medicine”, where doctors can, for the first time, see and anticipate their patients’ true disease states between visits, and where patients can have always-on intelligent support between visits like never before. With 90% of the US’s $5 trillion in healthcare costs coming from chronic conditions, the biggest swing to the health outcomes needle will come from shifting care upstream to prioritize prevention and management of chronic diseases at the Edge. We should not wait for people to come to healthcare systems, when technology allows us to go to them. We build on JupyterHealth, extending the most widely adopted toolkit in open science into everyday clinical care on The Edge.
