Where does the Capital Go? - A BackBlack Briefing for Black Philanthropy Month 2026
You are invited to join BackBlack Founder Floyd Jones for an honest, unscripted conversation about why Black-led nonprofits remain among the most underfunded organizations in America - and what we can collectively do about it.
BackBlack is a philanthropic movement that directs capital to Black-led nonprofits globally. This is not a pitch. It is a conversation between people who believe that funding the right work changes everything.
A small group of leaders will open with brief remarks on why this work matters. Floyd Jones, Founder of BackBlack, will share the vision for Black Philanthropy Month 2026. Then we open the floor.
Opening remarks across the series will include:
Blair C. Smith, Senior Director, Milken Institute Finance
Dale Favors, Managing Partner, Adaptive Growth Leadership
Eric C. Williams, Legal Director, Detroit Justice Center
The format: 30 minutes maximum - conversation, clarity and actionable next steps.
This is a private, by-invitation-only event. Hosted by Karen Gamba, Global Community Ambassador, BackBlack.
