Stanford Public Health Youth Leadership Summit

​Curious about public or global health? Join us for a half-day, student-led summit at Stanford University designed to introduce high school students to the fields of public and global health! This event will feature keynote talks, interactive workshops, and small-group discussions led by Stanford undergraduate students. Students will leave with actionable frameworks to bring public health awareness to their own schools and launch health initiatives in their communities.

​Keynote: Amanda Marr Chung is the Executive Director at the Stanford Center for Innovation in Global Health. She has over 20 years of experience in global health. At UCSF Amanda was the Principal Investigator on a Gates Foundation funded project to support the Zimbabwe Ministry of Health in integrating the male circumcision program into routine health services. She co-developed the LEAD framework that has been used in Eswatini, Namibia, and Zimbabwe and is now being rolled out in Cameroon and Cote D’Ivoire. Amanda’s experience spans the areas of immunizations, maternal and child health, HIV, eye health, and malaria in Africa, Asia, and Latin America. Amanda holds a DrPH from UC Berkeley, an MPH in Community Oriented Public Health Practice from the University of Washington, and an AB in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Princeton University.
