TANTRA LAB: BEGINNINGS...with HeartcoreTantra
TANTRA LAB is for playful explorations of sacred sexuality, intimacy and bliss. Our intent is to provide experiences of Eros that pull from ancient Tantric, Taoist & Kundalini practices, woven into modern day science.
We welcome people of all genders and expressions and will be teaching in a queer-centered way that will allow every participant to engage in consensual explorations with every other person --women, men, trans and non-binary folx -- in rotation throughout the playshops. We welcome both experts and beginners who want to learn basic Tantra principles and practices, exploring Tantric philosophy, energy, pleasure and camaraderie in a safe, welcoming community.
Our first offering on 9/13/26 will be a four-hour introductory course called TANTRA LAB: BEGINNINGS. This class will provide the basics of a foundation in Tantric practices that will be used throughout the Lab’s more advanced offerings. This is a prerequisite to proceed to the higher level courses.
BEGINNINGS will be a playground to experiment with the principles of Tantric practice, exploring breathwork, the chakras, conscious touch and sensory awakening. You’ll be supported in slowing down, dropping out of the mind, and into the body—building pleasure, relaxation and aliveness. Intimacy will be always grounded in clear communication and mutual consent. While more advanced courses will involve nudity and erotic touch, this beginner class will be fully clothed and without genital touch.
Upcoming TANTRA LAB offerings:
RECEIVING & GIVING on 10/18/26 will focus on conscious touch, including giving and receiving erotic massage in groups of three.
FINDING YOUR ROOT on 11/15/26 is for all people with a desire to experiment with a deep dive into anal pleasure.
TANTRIC TEMPLE NIGHT (tbd) will offer an evening play party for graduates of the three courses to put all your TANTRA LAB learnings into a guided experience to connect with yourself and others using Tantric rituals in a beautiful candlelit temple space.
The leader is TW, a practitioner of Tantra for over 30 years. He studied with some of the top teachers of Eros from around the world, including as Co-Director of Margot Anand’s SkyDancing Tantra Institute and as longtime teacher with the Body Electric School. HeartcoreTantra hosts regular events for queer & sex positive communities including EroCircle, SPLA, LoveFreq, Tantra Men’s Circle, and now for fwb.
STARTING TIME - DON'T BE LATE!
11:00AM - we will be building a strong container for this work, so doors will be locked at 11:15 so we can start on time. Please plan to arrive early and settle in before doors lock. We will have ice-breaker games to keep you engaged until the class starts promptly at 11:15. Please plan to stay for the entire class until the closing circle at 3:15PM.
Unapproved and late-arriving guests will be turned away at the door.
LOCATION & ACCESSIBILITY
We host our in-person events at our Clubhouse in the Historic Core of DTLA.
The building is ADA accessible. There is an elevator. Note for people with wheelchairs, canes, other walking assistance devices: the tile of the lobby floor is uneven so be careful navigating, and the bathroom is not ADA compliant.
This is a low-scent event: no perfume, cologne, or essential oils. The Clubhouse is no-shoe space. When you enter, please leave your shoes on the shoe rack by the front door. If you need an exemption, please email accessibility@fwb.events.
PARKING
There are paid lots, garages, and street parking within a block of the loft. We will send out additional information once your RSVP is confirmed.
SAFETY IN DTLA
Please be mindful of your surroundings when arriving and leaving. Many of us are longtime downtown residents and have never personally had an issue walking around at night, but DTLA is full of interesting characters from all walks of life, especially on weekends. We love our community and ask that you're respectful of everyone you encounter.
COMMUNITY HEALTH & SAFETY
COVID, Cold, and Flu: We recommend all attendees test for COVID before you arrive. No need to send results - we trust you. If you are feeling sick, were recently exposed to someone who is sick, or test positive, we ask that you stay home to help us keep our community safe and healthy and we will credit you for a future event.
We provide face masks and hand sanitizer at the clubhouse. We run air purifiers during and between events. While we take all the precautions we can to be covid safe, this is ultimately an event with risk of infection. If you are higher risk of infection or adverse effects for covid or other illnesses, we encourage you to err on the side of caution.
REFUND & CANCELLATION POLICY
We do not offer refunds if you cancel or change your reservation. In some cases, we do offer event credits. Contact cancel@fwb.events if you:
Need to cancel or change your reservation. Please let us know 48 hours prior to an event, and we will credit you for a future event.
If you are sick, were recently exposed to someone who has covid, or tested positive. Let us know ~2 hours prior to an event start, and we will credit you for a future event.
We offer refunds if we cancel an event for any reason. We'll send out a cancellation email. Attendees who wish to receive a refund for their ticket purchase will need to respond within 7 days of the cancelled event. All other tickets will receive a credit for a future event.
