About Event

Welcome to Wisdom of Wombats: A Global Community for Female Entrepreneurs!

Did you know the collective noun for a group of wombats is a wisdom? How fitting! Just like these clever and resilient creatures, women in the entrepreneurial world can thrive by sharing wisdom and experiences. This event aims to bridge that gap by creating a space where wisdom flows freely and meaningful connections grow.

This will be our 14th Wisdom of Wombats session. These gatherings are small, real, and full of meaningful conversation.

Session Topic: From Corporate Leadership to Entrepreneurship and Beyond – Lessons from a Non-Linear Path

Guest Speaker: Sandra Hutter, Group CEO, Chairperson & Lecturer | Leadership, Digitalisation & Business Transformation

Session Description:

What if changing direction isn’t a sign that you’ve failed — but a sign that you’re paying attention?

For many entrepreneurs, the journey from corporate life to building a business is imagined as a straight line: leave the corporate world, set a goal, build the business and make it work. But real entrepreneurial journeys rarely follow that path.

In this session, we’ll explore why the ability to iterate, adapt and redefine success is one of the most important skills an entrepreneur can develop.

Drawing on her own journey between corporate leadership, entrepreneurship and transformation, our guest speaker will challenge us to think differently about:

  • Iteration: Why changing direction can be progress, not failure.

  • Agility: How to stay responsive when the business, market or your own priorities change.

  • Self-worth: Why identity is a continuous journey rather than a fixed destination.

  • Redefining success: How to recognise when the definition of success you started with no longer serves you.

  • The pressure to succeed: How the experience of success pressure differs between corporate life and entrepreneurship — and how to develop a healthy way of dealing with it.

  • Non‑linear paths: The appeal of unpredictable journeys — and the biases or fears that often accompany them.

This is a conversation about letting go of the idea that there is one “right” entrepreneurial path — and becoming more confident in adapting as you grow.

Meet the Guest Speaker

Sandra Hutterli is a board member, business leader, entrepreneur and speaker passionate about building businesses and enabling transformation through human potential.

As Group CEO of the SwissFactory Group, she has repositioned a network of 11 companies within a unified group structure, enabling them to respond more effectively to a rapidly changing market and to leverage synergies across the entire value chain. Her leadership focuses on strengthening customer orientation and deepening collaboration — both within the group and with clients — to drive sustainable, long‑term impact.

With the Constellation Academy, she began by establishing a single company in Germany and, over four years, built it into a group of 12 organisations with complementary offerings. By adding a digital business model, she expanded the group’s strategic reach and introduced an innovative solution to the market.

Before her entrepreneurial work, she led the digital transformation at Swiss Federal Railways (SBB), with a strong emphasis on organisational development and the human side of change. She also supported major transformation initiatives in international contexts, including at the Council of Europe and the European Union, as well as national education governance through the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education. As Executive Director of the Executive MBA HSG in Business Engineering, she also bridges academic insight with practical application.
