REGISTER ON ZEFFY!
In celebration of AANHPI Heritage Month, Stories We Carry invites women of the Asian Diaspora to gather for an intimate afternoon centered on identity, belonging, and the journeys that shape us.
Join us for a fireside chat with Yung Le, co-founder of A Novel Affair, the Bay Area’s first romance-only bookstore, as she shares her journey from tech marketing to reimagining the bookstore as an inclusive, community-driven third space.
This is not just about books. It is about the moments, decisions, and lived experiences behind them.
Following the conversation, we will gather for a community book swap hosted by Arns of the brbcrying podcast.
Theme: A blind book swap for tender hearts
Bring a physical book that made you feel something deeply. Whether it is grief, love, rage, laughter, or nostalgia, all types of tears are welcome here.
Activities include:
💬 Fireside Conversation — a journey-first dialogue on identity and creation
📚 Community Blind Book Swap — discover new stories through each other
🍵 Complimentary matcha and hojicha served by Last Chapter Cafe
🥐 Light bites (first come, first serve)
🎁 Gift of a Daily Passion Planner (undated)
This gathering is intentionally intimate and designed to create space for meaningful conversation, quiet reflection, and connection within community.
Come curious, leave with a story to share and reflect on.
