Speaker Bio
Lucy Nussbaum is a Director on the Responsible Investing team at Nuveen, where she focuses on ESG integration across fixed income, including corporate, sovereign, municipal, and securitized sectors. She partners with investment teams to develop proprietary ESG frameworks tailored to the investment strategy and asset class. In addition, Lucy serves as an ESG subject matter expert for the design and sustainable investment products, including SFDR Article 8 and 9 strategies, and for external and client facing reporting.
Before joining Nuveen, Lucy worked at the Council of Institutional Investors, where she researched corporate governance and ESG policy on behalf of institutional investors, contributed to publications and comment letters, and moderated panels on governance and sustainability.
Lucy holds a BA in International Politics and Economics from Middlebury College, where her studies and internships focused on international relations and nuclear nonproliferation. Outside of work, Lucy stays active through walking, dancing, and strength training, and recently walked her first half marathon. She also enjoys creative pursuits like knitting and baking.
