Apollo Utrecht: Is kidney disease a brain disease? by Dr. Quentin Faucher
โWe're finally back with our October event! ๐
โThis time, Dr. Quentin Faucher will talk about the kidney-brain axis and what happens when it breaks down, including the potential pathological implications of its impairment. He will also present his work on a blood-brain barrier-on-chip system.
โAbout the speaker
Quentin has a background in Pharmacology, Infectious Diseases and Drug Science, awarded by Limoges University, France. He is currently a postdoctoral researcher in the Division of Pharmacology at the Utrecht Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences, where he is engineering a miniature kidney-brain axis to unravel the neuropathies associated with chronic kidney disease.
โWhy join?
Come along if you're curious about mini disease and organ models and how they can help bridge the gap between the lab and the clinic.
โ๐ Lecture starts at 6:00 PM
