Community Call: Independent Worker Solidarity Hour

​This is a knowledge-sharing session specifically for U.S.-based independent workers/freelancers (but open to anyone) about how to piece together your own benefits package. Let’s exchange knowledge, tricks of the trade, favorite service providers, personal finance tools, rate setting advice, and anything of the sort in order to support each other and build solidarity. Some areas we'll cover: health insurance, retirement plans, emergency & other savings strategies, paid time off, leave & vacation, bookkeeping, tax filing tips, etc.

​Specifically in the context of mass layoffs, rising healthcare premiums, and general economic uncertainty, the need for greater worker power, agency, and flexibility is key to our wellbeing. I'm hoping to create a space where we can come together to support each other! All are welcome, but this session will focus on people without W2 employment.
