About Event

Latina Innovators in Tech 2026

As we honor National Latina Day, we also want to recognize, honor, and celebrate the Latinas that are working in the tech industry.

In 2024, we were honored to receive a City of Houston Proclamation on this day by Mayor John Whitmire and Council Member Joaquin Martinez.

This day, August 20th, is now set aside to annually honor the drive, accomplishment, and beneficial economic impact of Latina Innovators in Tech in our City of Houston and surrounding areas, who continue supporting and inspiring the next generation the Houston area’s young Latina STEM leaders.

History of National Latina Day

Every year since 2015, National Latina Day has been celebrated on August 20. The Latina Day celebration shines a light on all Latinas who are making a difference and achieving all of their goals. Whether it is at home, in schools or simply embracing other women’s femininity.

Dolores Castillad, a Latina based in Texas, created this day specifically for Latinas to show their pride and be recognized for their significant contributions to society

**Please note that this event is open to all and we welcome all of those in our Houston area community.
