Mask Fit Testing with Safe Hour Berlin 😷

Want to check how well your mask fits? Join us for an individual session using a PortaCount machine. We’ll test your mask and explore whether adjustments improve the result.
FOUR INDIVIDUAL APPOINTMENTS There are four places, with 30 minutes per person. Choose one slot when registering:
17:00–17:30
17:30–18:00
18:00–18:30
18:30–19:00
Please book only one slot and arrive at your chosen time. You only need to attend your appointment, not the full two hours.
INDOORS OR OUTDOORS Testing can take place indoors or outdoors, depending on your preference and the weather. HEPA air purifiers will run in the indoor space. No COVID test is required to attend.
WHAT TO BRING Bring the masks you’d like to test, ideally new ones, plus a spare to wear afterwards. We suggest prioritising one or two models; how many we can test will depend on the adjustments needed.
Testing makes a permanent hole in the mask for the sampling probe. If you’d like to install a SIP drinking valve later, tell us before testing so we can plan the hole’s position. It will need enlarging according to the SIP installation instructions: https://sipmask.com/pages/installation Bring a spare mask to wear home.
Please wear your best-fitting mask when you’re not changing masks for testing, and stay home if you have new or unexplained symptoms of a contagious illness.
LOCATION Please contact the organisers at safehourberlin@proton.me for the exact location. For security, the address is shared privately only after you contact us; it is not sent automatically on registration.
COST The event is free. Donations are welcome, with a suggested donation of €10. No payment is required to register, and no one is turned away for lack of funds.
If you can’t come, please cancel your booking so someone else can use the slot.
