About Event
This interdisciplinary seminar for creatives explores how fictional worlds operate as structured models of society, drawing on speculative fiction, history, anthropology, and political theory. Students analyze how environments, institutions, culture, memory, and technology shape social order, while building a single evolving fictional world across the semester. The course culminates in a cohesive "world dossier" integrating these elements into a fully realized speculative society that can be used as a platform for creative projects.
