Common Ground Gathering

​Come soak up some sun and good energy at Christie Pits Park for the Common Ground Gathering! In collaboration with the Search for Common Ground, join me this 9/9 Idealist Day for an hour of easy, open conversation facilitated by prompts to 'love anyway.'

​The whole point is to meet people who see the world a little differently than you do. No agendas, no debates to "win," just real talk with folks who bring their own stories, backgrounds, and outlooks to the table.

​The beauty is found within the nuanced perspectives of those that participate. You never know who you'll end up chatting with. Maybe it's someone twice your age, someone from a completely different corner of the city, maybe even a mutual you've been wanting to connect with on a deeper level, or someone whose take on life just makes you stop and go "huh, never thought of it that way." That's the magic we're going for. Stepping outside your usual bubble for a bit does wonders, and you might just walk away with a fresh perspective (or many) without even trying.

​Bring your curiosity, an open mind, and maybe a blanket to sit on. Toronto's park benches and green grass make the perfect backdrop for the kind of conversations that stick with you long after you've packed up and gone home.
