For our final The Room of 2026, we’re coming together for a little holiday cheer, meaningful conversations, and a chance to connect before the festive whirlwind begins.
This month’s Jessamy’s Jam will explore the mental load of the holidays — the invisible planning, expectations, emotional labour, and pressure to make everything feel special.
From organising gatherings and buying gifts to managing family dynamics, navigating traditions, and keeping everyone happy, the holidays can come with a surprisingly heavy load.
Why do we feel responsible for making the magic happen? How do expectations turn into resentment? And how can we make space for our own enjoyment rather than simply managing everyone else’s?
Whether you’re spending the holidays with family, friends, a partner, children, or on your own, this conversation is for you.
