About Event

We're delighted to invite you to a landmark masterclass tracing five centuries of South American wine — a sweeping story encapsulated by twelve special bottles. Hosted by award-winning author and the world's foremost authority on the continent's wines, Amanda Barnes MW.

  • Masterclass 11:00am–12:30pm

  • Tasting Reception 12:30–1:30pm

South America’s wine identity has been forged by isolation, immigration and an extraordinary diversity of landscapes. Over 90 minutes and 12 landmark bottles, Amanda Barnes MW traces the history of South American wine, explores the region's wine industries today, and offers insights into where they are headed next. From Argentina and Chile to Uruguay, Brazil and beyond, this is an insider's guide to one of the most dynamic and rapidly evolving wine regions in the world.

Following the masterclass, join us for a tasting reception with light bites — a chance to revisit the wines at your own pace, taste some additional wines, mingle and put your questions to Amanda directly.

The Lineup
Amanda will present wines from standout producers including: Cara Sur, Catena Zapata, Clos Apalta, Deicas, El Enemigo, Garzón, Guaspari, Matetic, Susana Balbo, VIK, Viña Cobos and Zuccardi.

During the reception, one wine will be poured through Coravin for a blind tasting competition — guess it correctly and you could win a Coravin of your own.
