About Event

Are you really aware of the myriad things your lifestyle depends on?

Modern urban life is filled with systems, people, and processes that quietly support our everyday existence while remaining largely out of sight.

Food arrives stocked on shelves, water flows from taps, packages appear at our doors, streets are cleaned, power stays on, and neighborhoods maintain their character through layers of visible and invisible coordination.

Over time, many of these underlying relationships have faded into the background of daily awareness, even though our lives remain deeply dependent on them.

Through interactive mapping sessions, we’ll reflect on the specific things that make life in various NYC neighborhoods function, giving them their particular rhythm.

Together, we’ll also explore what it means to be more conscious participants within those systems so that we can ensure a greater sustainability for all.

This event is hosted by Tusk & Quill, a publication and events platform exploring how we live well, individually and collectively, in America today.
