About Event

Time can be experienced through many perspectives: physics, biology, memory, scarcity, markets, history, and the intimate spaces where urgency, regret, patience, and attention live. It shapes outcomes whether we manage it, waste it, surrender to it, or try to outrun it. In a networked world, it doesn’t vanish; it gets compressed, synchronized, monetized, and sometimes distorted.

This Junto is a private, inquiry-driven conversation about time: what it is (and isn’t), how it governs biology and institutions, how it’s engineered, how we defy or embrace its passage, and what a sane (or absolutely mad) relationship to time might look like in our unique context.

What we’ll explore (sample threads)

  • Is memory the real substrate of experienced time?

  • If the universe ends, does time end?

  • How do institutions manufacture time? What about artists?

  • What would you do with infinite time?

  • Where would you go first as a time traveler?

  • You wake up as an immortal being... what's next?

🧭 What is a Junto?

Juntos are free-flowing group conversations conducted in the sincere spirit of inquiry after truth.

Benjamin Franklin founded the Junto Club to discuss morals, politics, and natural philosophy in order to improve themselves and their community.

👾 Who should attend?

Juntos are an opportunity to explore a topic deeply and see how other thoughtful people understand it. This is a good fit for you if you have:

  • Insatiable curiosity

  • Set truth over ego

  • Strong opinions, open to being challenged

  • The ability to engage respectfully with views you don’t share

  • Adhere to the Chatham House Rule; anyone who comes is free to refer to the discussion, but should not reveal who made any particular comment.
