My beautiful brides - it's time for that most special of events! The 27th Annual Brides of March! #BridesOfMarch2027
Our party will begin in Washington Square Park. Surrounded by six Lombardy poplars stands Benjamin Franklin: inventor, provocateur, and a man who never once turned down a good party.
He was placed there by a temperance dentist who wanted to keep San Francisco sober (bless his lil' heart). He has since watched over more than a century of Italian festivals, earthquake survivors, and fog-drenched Sunday mornings. He has a time capsule in his base, sealed with love letters to the future, and the word Welcome carved into every side of his pedestal.
He has been waiting for us.
Meet your fellow brides at the Benjamin Franklin Memorial by 2:30. We'll gather, then take some photos in front of the gorgeous Saints Peter and Paul Church, followed by a bridal procession up Columbus Avenue, stopping at the always amazing Red Window for cocktails and mocktails, then proceeding on to visit our friends at Specs' Twelve Adler Museum Cafe where we'll have libations to prepare us for our very special day. From there we'll have a few more stops for all your DIY wedding reception, snacks, and mingling needs at the local bars and restaurant parklets. Who knows what adventures we'll find along the way!!
