About Event

Friendly Note: This is a special collaboration with Scadding Court Community Centre. More walks available, check the full schedule here!

Toronto has incredible cafés hiding in plain sight and some of the best ones you'd never stumble into on your own.

Toronto Café Walk is a cozy social series where a small group of founders, solopreneurs, and creatives explore hand-picked café spots across different neighbourhoods, slow down a little, and meet each other in a way that actually feels human.

Scadding Court Community Centre supports and fosters the well-being of individuals, families, and community groups by providing and encouraging both local and international opportunities for recreation, education, athletics, community participation and inclusive social interaction.

Here's how the morning goes 🌞

We gather at the meetup spot at 10:30 AM then head over to Scadding Court Community Centre to get a group tour of the space.

SCCC has been a longstanding pillar in the community and a go-to destination for local residents, community members, and entrepreneurs. Come discover this vibrant space that includes greenhouses, below-market container spaces for entrepreneurs, sewing spaces, and much more.

Then we'll get a brief tour of Market 707 where you will meet newcomer and local food vendors that you can come check out after the cafe walk ends.

Around 11:30 AM, we'll head over to our first café which is a hidden gem I've been wanting to share. We grab drinks or pastries, settle in, and just chat/mingle with each other.

No agenda and no awkward intros. From there, we may wander to a second cafe spot if the group is feeling it.

What You'll Walk Away With...

→ Discover cafés you probably didn't know existed
→ Find your next favourite spot to work, meet clients, or just think
→ Meet a small group of like-minded people in a genuinely relaxed setting
→ Walk away with a few new connections you actually want to keep in touch

Meet Your Hosts

Hi, we are the SCCC team!

We are a member of the Association of Community Centres (AOCCs) network, which consists of City-owned or City-managed facilities that are managed, operated and maintained by volunteer Boards of Management.

These Centres are multi-purpose facilities that provide public space, programs and services to meet the social and recreation needs of local communities. They are committed to fostering a sense of community, promoting civic engagement and enhancing the quality of life through their community, recreational and social service programs.

Hi, I'm Michelle 👋🏻

Former B2B SaaS marketer turned Intuitive Business Strategist and a connector, creator, and curator at heart.

The Toronto Café Walk series grew out of my Toronto café guide and a simple belief that the right environment changes how you think, who you meet, and how you show up for a community.

This is my way of bringing people into spaces worth knowing about and into each other's orbits. 😊
