Join us for a film screening of the documentary "Condemned: The Toxic Prisons Problem" and engaging panel discussion which explores the intersection of environmental justice and public health.
SCI-Fayette is a prison in Western PA built on land polluted by about 40 million tons of coal waste. This documentary created by the Toxic Prisons Campaign of the Human Rights Coalition exposes the breadth and depth of environmental toxicity within Pennsylvania’s prison system through the stories of survivors of SCI-Fayette, as well as advocates, activists, and lawyers who are all fighting for the closure of toxic prisons in the commonwealth.
