KiDS NEED MoRE Community

Every interaction is an opportunity to help a child feel seen, valued, and connected.

Join Dr. Roberta Karant as we explore how to create welcoming and engaging camp experiences while serving as a positive role model for campers. We’ll discuss ways to build connections, foster belonging, encourage participation, and lead by example in both big and small moments.

Together, we can help create the kind of camp experience that children remember for all the right reasons.

The Ambassador Access Pass is designed for volunteers, leaders, and community members who are interested in representing KiDS NEED MoRE at professional events, networking opportunities, conferences, outreach experiences, and special community gatherings.

Ambassadors help share the mission, welcome new connections, build relationships, and represent the spirit of KiDS NEED MoRE in meaningful and professional ways.

This access may include:
• Networking mixers
• Conferences & leadership opportunities
• Community outreach events
• Trade shows & partnership events
• Special invitation gatherings
• Select fundraising and promotional experiences

Ambassadors are expected to:
• Represent KiDS NEED MoRE with kindness and professionalism
• Dress the part and be prepared to engage with others
• Understand the mission and programs of the organization
• Communicate respectfully and reliably
• Help create welcoming and positive experiences

Some Ambassador opportunities may include free or reduced admission, sponsored conference registration, or team coordination support depending on the event.

To activate Ambassador Access, participants may be asked to complete a short orientation or onboarding experience.

Ambassador

The Sweet Squad is KiDS NEED MoRE’s outreach and community engagement team — bringing energy, kindness, information, and a little extra sweetness wherever we go.

Sweet Squad members help represent KiDS NEED MoRE at community events, festivals, hospitals, outreach programs, school visits, tabling events, and special gatherings throughout the year.

The Sweet Squad is open to:
• Volunteers of all ages
• Families who want to volunteer together
• Teens looking to get involved
• Parents, alumni, and community members
• Anyone who enjoys outreach, connection, and spreading joy

You might find the Sweet Squad:
• Scooping ice cream
• Handing out treats & goodies
• Sharing information about programs and events
• Supporting outreach tables and community partners
• Welcoming families and community members
• Bringing fun, warmth, and positive energy into public spaces

Sweet Squad members are expected to:
• Be friendly, welcoming, and approachable
• Represent KiDS NEED MoRE with kindness and positivity
• Wear KiDS NEED MoRE apparel when requested
• Help create inclusive and supportive experiences
• Communicate respectfully with families, children, and community members

Many Sweet Squad opportunities are flexible, social, family-friendly, and designed to help people stay connected while making a meaningful impact in the community.
