About Speakers:
Valerie founded Ansible Ventures in Vietnam in 2022. Previously, she served as Vietnam Country Head for Venturra Capital, where she led over a dozen investments from 2020 to early 2022. From 2016 to 2019, she worked at Deloitte U.S. as a senior consultant where she advised hedge funds, private equity funds and other investment management clients. Valerie graduated magna cum laude in 2016 from Temple University’s Fox School of Business with a major in accounting and is a Certified Public Accountant licensed in Pennsylvania. She also founded Career Opportunities in Vietnam (COVN), providing advice to aspiring professionals and co-hosted Forward Vietnam Podcast.
Thao Ha is Head of Strategy at Vietnam's leading edtech Edupia, and Venture Partner at Integra Partners. Thao has a penchant for supporting big ideas and is passionate about financial services, healthcare, and education. Her decade-long career has seen her in numerous leadership roles, from Chief of Staff and Product Director at Sequoia- and YC-backed startup Infina, investment and portfolio management at various VCs and family offices (e.g. 500 Startups, Integra Partners), and corporate development and strategy at $80B banking group Barclays Africa. At Integra Partners, Thao leads the Win With Women program in Vietnam where Integra invests in women-led/focused startups.
Integra Partners is a Singapore-based early-stage VC focused on Seed to Series B investments in Southeast and South Asia. We are a close-knit team of like-minded individuals working to invest in founders driving access and affordability to responsible financial services and healthcare. As a participant in the 2X Challenge via Integra Partners Fund II, we also aim to increase the number of female-led companies, as well as companies that disproportionately serve women, that we invest in.Jeremy is Chief of Staff at Monk’s Hill Ventures, a venture capital firm investing in early-stage tech companies, primarily Series A, in Southeast Asia. He has over a decade of experience in America and Asia as a founder, CEO and coach for early-stage tech startups. He is based in Singapore and works closely to spearhead key strategic initiatives in areas such as LP relations, partnerships and supporting portfolio founders. Prior to Monk’s Hill Ventures, Jeremy was CEO and Co-Founder of CozyKin, a VC-backed edtech startup, which was acquired by Higher Ground Education and scaled across multiple cities in North America. Prior to that, Jeremy was a consultant at Bain & Company where he worked across Southeast Asia and China. He has deep expertise in M&A, technology and consumer products. He has been recognized with Forbes “30 Under 30” and Prestige “40 Under 40.”
Founded in 2014 by entrepreneurs Peng T. Ong and Kuo-Yi Lim, MHV is a venture capital firm investing in early-stage tech companies, primarily Pre-Series A and Series A, in Southeast Asia. Backed by institutional investors and family offices worldwide, MHV works with great entrepreneurs to use technology to improve the lives of millions of people in the region.Adriel Yong is currently the Head of Community at Ascend Angels, one of the largest angel networks in Singapore with over 400 members. Adriel’s journey as an angel began when he started angel investing in SEA startups such as Doyobi, AcadArena, JiPay, StackUp, Lumina, Baskit and Acme. He also works with Jeremy Au on the BRAVE Podcast and co-authored their publication featuring the top 10 stories on the show since its inception. Outside of startups, Adriel is passionate about social mobility and continues to support Access Singapore, an education non-profit that he helped to found back in 2019.
Ascend Angels is a referral only and founder-driven syndicate in Singapore with over 400 members.
