Bucharest - Every day is International Generalist Day✨
International Generalist Day 2026 — a global celebration happening simultaneously across cities worldwide that happened on September 16th, 2026. 🌍
We liked it so much that we felt we should have it again.
Generalists & Polymaths · Bucharest · Meetup #2 🌀
Wouldn't it be great to meet new friends who understand your squiggly background? Weeeeell, now you can!
Let’s make room for more of those connections. 💛
After our first gathering for International Generalist Day, we’re meeting again! Join Alexandra for an evening with curious minds, cross-disciplinary thinkers, multi-passionate professionals, and people whose careers have taken unexpected turns.
Last time, we found a word that resonated with people in the room: polymaths. Polimați. People who cross disciplines, connect seemingly unrelated ideas, and translate between different worlds.
We're celebrating cross-disciplinary thinkers, multi-passionate professionals, and people with non-linear or "squiggly" career paths.
Whatever word feels right for you, you’re welcome here.
What to expect:
A quick and light icebreaker to move beyond the small talk
Informal chats to get to know other generalists (or find out what a generalist is!)
Informal chats to get to know other generalists (or find out what a generalist is!), about our interests, experiences, and winding career paths
Space to exchange ideas, offer practical support, and discover unexpected connections
If this is your first time hearing about the wor(l)d «generalist», check out the Generalist Starter Pack!
Whether you joined us last time or this will be your first gathering, come as you are. Just bring your curiosity.
This local meetup is run by Alexandra and organised within Generalist World - the community where generalists belong. You'll find everything you need to grow in your career - support, opportunity, lots of learning and great new connections.
Please note, you do not need to be a member of GW to join a meetup; everyone is welcome.
