Secure AI Futures Lab (SAFL) and Apart Research brings you the Global South AI Safety Hackathon 2026 aimed at bringing together participants from across Africa, Asia, and Latin America to work on AI-related projects.

Teams collaborate on technical and research challenges focused on AI safety and governance. The event is conducted online and through local hubs in different regions. Participants have the opportunity to present their work and engage with others interested in AI development and policy.
