Haunted History Railbike Adventure

Get ready for a fun Halloween adventure!
A special seasonal nighttime departure featuring our lantern lighted railbikes, a short historic ghost story and spooky decorations along the route. Our dark departures are shorter in length at just over two miles total to ensure we're not crossing the bridge or any streets in the dark.
What's included
Price includes up to four people per railbike. We recommend a minimum of two adults per railbike. We offer five-point harnesses for any riders under 5-years old. Please select during your booking to ensure availability.
Itinerary
Arrival and Check-In: We recommend arriving at the Depot approximately 15-20 minutes before your scheduled departure time. Check in with our friendly railbike crew to kick things off. Once you’re all set, take a moment to enjoy the surroundings. You can engage in a few lawn games, delve into the fascinating history of the Erie Coal Train, or simply relax until your guide crew is ready to welcome you aboard.
Campfire Ghost Story and Orientation: Before setting off, each group will gather around the campfire for an old-fashioned ghost story followed by a short safety orientation prior to heading out to the tracks to board.
Onboard and Rolling: Once everyone is onboard, your knowledgeable guide will get things rolling. Each railbike will be spaced out, allowing everyone ample room to experience the unique lantern ride and spooky scenes along the route.
Turnaround Point: When you reach the turnaround point, hop off your railbike and the spooky story continues around the ghost depot while our crew turns all of the bikes. We load back up for the return departures as soon as the last bike is turned.
Highlights
Step into Erie's incredible history with a haunted twist. The coal mines run deep beneath our town as do the tales from the old west. There's nothing quite like a good-old fashioned ghost story around a campfire and this one is followed by a dark, lantern-lighted ride down the tracks with spooky scenes along the route.
This is designed as an all-ages spooky experience. There's no blood, or zombies. Jump scares will be optional!
