About Event

​Headstands, Brunch & Kittens 🐾

​Celebrate International Yoga Day with a playful morning of movement, learning, and kitten cuddles.

​This 75-minute workshop is designed for students with some yoga experience who want to build the strength, confidence, and understanding needed to explore headstands safely.

Why headstands?
Headstands are a powerful way to develop strength, balance, coordination, and mental focus. Inversions challenge us to step outside our comfort zone, cultivating confidence, discipline, and a greater sense of presence.

​We'll begin with pranayama and mobility work, move through a dynamic vinyasa flow to warm the shoulders and core, then break down headstand foundations step-by-step. You'll learn alignment principles, preparation drills, safe entries and exits, and how to build a sustainable inversion practice.

​After class, stay for brunch and spend some time with Pickled CafΓ©'s resident kittens. Brunch menu: https://www.picklednairobi.com/#menu

​Who is this for?

​This workshop is best suited to students with an existing yoga practice who are comfortable moving through a dynamic flow and bearing weight through their shoulders and arms.

​No headstand experience is required. However, this is not a beginner yoga class.

​Brunch is purchased separately direct with Pickled Cafe

​Slow Morning Club's regular community yoga gatherings remain donation-based and accessible to everyone. Contributions from specialty workshops like this help support future community events, and allow Slow Morning Club to continue offering donation-based classes across Nairobi.

​If you're able to contribute at the higher end of the scale, you're helping make those community classes possible for others.
