About Event
This session will bring together community leaders, civil society, practitioners and partners to explore how climate ambition can be advanced without reproducing existing inequalities, placing new pressures on the ocean, or replacing one form of extractive development with another.
A panel discussion will examine what equitable ocean-energy pathways can look like across different contexts, particularly from the perspectives of Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and coastal communities, recognising that there is no single model for a just transition and that approaches must respond to local priorities, ocean health, ecological realities and community needs.
