BYOC: Build Your Own Community

​We’re closing out the summer the right way: good food, good people, games, conversation, and a little community building.

​I’ll (Vic) be on the grill, so come hungry.

​BYOC: Build Your Own Community is a casual cookout and listening session for people who care about Philadelphia and the communities already doing meaningful work here.

​The idea is simple: Philly already has amazing organizers, creatives, educators, technologists, neighborhood groups, and community leaders. We’re not trying to create another meetup or another organization competing for attention. We want to bring people together, enjoy ourselves, and listen.

​Throughout the evening, we’ll be asking community members to share what kinds of programming, resources, connections, and support would actually help strengthen the groups and missions that already exist across the city.

​Expect food off the grill, games, music, conversation, and a short community survey to help shape what we build next.

​Come through if you’re already building something, looking for ways to contribute, curious about what others are working on, or just want a plate and some good company.
