About Event

You don't have to be thinking about selling your business to think like a buyer.

Think of this evening like an open house. You get the opportunity to step outside your business, look at it through a different lens, and see what someone else might notice.

Because when you've built and run a business for years, it's easy to see what needs your attention today. It's harder to see the things that could make the business more valuable, more resilient, more scalable, or give you more freedom and choices as the owner.

We're bringing together an intimate group of experienced business owners for an early evening of conversation, drinks, appetizers, and a hands-on business case discussion.

We'll examine the business of an owner who's built something successful and is beginning to think strategically about what's next.

Then we'll ask a different question:

If you were looking at this business from the outside, what would you see?

What We'll Explore

The Owner's Perspective

We'll start with the business as it exists today: what's working, where the opportunities are, and what might be holding the business or its owner back.

Together, we'll explore what the owner could do differently and what it would take to make those ideas work.

That might mean changes to the business itself. But it could also mean changes in the owner's role, how decisions are made, how the team operates, or how customer relationships are managed.

The Buyer's Perspective

Then we'll change seats and look at the same business through the eyes of a potential buyer.

What would they notice?

What would make them more interested? What might raise questions or create risk? And what changes could make the business stronger, more valuable, or more attractive to a buyer even if the owner has absolutely no intention of selling?

Because building a business that someone could buy can also mean building a business that gives its owner more options.

Bring It Back to Your Business

You'll have the opportunity to consider what some of these ideas could mean for your own business, where you might have opportunities to strengthen it, and what would need to happen to make those changes possible.

This Evening Is For You If...

You're an experienced business owner who has built something you're proud of, and you're thinking about what comes next.

You're curious about what your business might look like through the eyes of someone who doesn't have the same emotional or operational attachment to it.

You're working toward greater value, freedom, flexibility, or choice as an owner.

Or you simply want to step out of the day-to-day for a few hours and have a smart, honest conversation with other owners about the businesses you've all worked so hard to build.

The Format

This is a hands-on, facilitated business case discussion.

We'll work through a real-world owner scenario together, hear different perspectives from the room, challenge assumptions, and explore what might happen if we looked at the business differently.

Expect thoughtful conversation, practical ideas, and plenty of opportunity to compare notes with other experienced owners.

Her work is grounded in a simple idea: you don't have to be ready to sell your business to start building one that gives you options.
