How to Build a Practice
Correa Legal, LLC and East End Trial Group, LLC are putting together a weekly workshop series for lawyers looking to build the practice they have always envisioned.
When you first thought about practicing law, it probably wasn’t because you dreamed of billable hours or case management software. You had a vision — the kind of work you wanted to do, the clients you wanted to serve, and the impact you hoped to make.
Whether you are early in your career and want to keep that vision front and center, or you've been practicing for years and are ready to connect with it, How to Build a Practice is a space to define, build, or maybe return to that original spark, and to turn it into something tangible. We’ll meet weekly as peers to define who we serve, refine what we offer, and learn how to build a practice that reflects both our values and our ambitions.
You’ll hear from voices inside and outside the profession who’ve built their own paths with intention. You’ll shape pricing models that fit your goals, explore the tools that make your work smoother, and practice strategies for growing your client base. And along the way, you’ll see what happens when lawyers help each other build something meaningful.
This isn’t about following a template. It’s about crafting something that’s yours.
Format
How to Build a Practice runs for nine weeks, meeting weekly on Tuesdays at 8:00am from September through November. You do not need to attend every session to take part - feel free to come and go as you need. Each session lasts exactly one hour - we’ll start at 8:00am and finish at 9:00am sharp so everyone can get on with their days. We’ll begin with a 10-15 minute presentation on the below topics, followed by small-group conversations to share and workshop ideas. Coffee will be served.
Topics
clarifying personal and professional motivations for practicing
defining and focusing the scope of your legal practice
identifying and defining your ideal client profile
developing clear service offerings tailored to client needs
learning effective marketing strategies
creating sustainable and competitive pricing structures
