Biz Book Club: A Book Club for Founders (November theme: Joy)
About this event
If you're a founder or operator who loves a good book and even better conversation, this one's for you.
Biz Book Club is a reading community where we explore business topics through books, and the people reading them.
What makes it different? Instead of everyone reading the same title, we pick a theme and each bring a different book to the table. More perspectives, richer conversations, and ideas you can actually take back to your work.
Session theme: JOY ✨
Joy is one of those things most of us quietly postpone in business. We’ll enjoy it once the launch is done, once revenue is steady, once things calm down. But joy isn’t just the reward at the end. It’s often the fuel: the thing that keeps you curious, makes the hard bits bearable, and reminds you why you started in the first place.
So this session, we’re asking: where does joy actually live in your work? What drains it, what brings it back, and what would change if you built for it on purpose?
As always, we’re exploring the theme through different books and different lenses. We’d love to hear what yours taught you!

Not ready to book yet? No worries. Join the bookclub to see the theme, browse the suggested titles and start reading at your own pace. You can grab your spot any time up to 48 hours before we meet.
A little about me 👋
Hi, I’m Niki. I run Applied Instinct (formerly HelmCrew), where I help founders and leaders use tools like CliftonStrengths and Human Design to make real decisions about how they work and lead. I started Biz Book Club because some of the best business thinking I’ve done has come from a good book and an even better conversation about it, and I wanted to build a space for exactly that. There's no performance, no networking pressure, just interesting people reading interesting things and talking honestly about what stuck. I’d love for you to be part of it!
